Do figelite get any error message while you connect the external hard disk? If the above step fails then check if the hard drive is detected in the disk management.

I can hear the drive whirling, but no blue light. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended. Plug it in and nothing, the blue light is on on the drive.
